Next came a personal and touching performance by young Hannah Altman on the orchestatrive routine of femininity using wool as a constricting element, a fiber she is allergic to. Hector Canonge brought us into a powerful choreography of words, costumes and movements on the perception of maleness within our current socio-political context, questioning our notions of masculinity ‘Not every man abuses power’. Weaving into the female principle, Katya Grokhovsky displayed a body language and sound piece on issues of abortions and pur notions of female beauty. Untitled Queen sang accapella on the affect of emotive response to loving. And finally the collaborative duo of Daniella LaGaccia and Kim Duon Quoc presented a real life transitional states of being, with Daniella body in the raw covered with video projections of ancient sculptures and designs and ending with a live injection of hormones displaying her transition into a female body.

Further displayed was a trans-galactic performance with the futuristic styling of queer artist Gage of the Boone. Breaking up to actionism, Heide Hatry placidly layed an egg out of her vagina to smash it on the gallery window while proclaiming ‘I reject the proposition that biology is my destiny’. Contemporary dance performance artist Miriam Parker bridged her movement practice with visual arts in a transmutative act. Female based collective Legacy Fatale examined a trans-political state introducing hypnotic practice, group choreography and sound work. Jamaican-born Jodie Lyn-Kee-Chow delivered her transcultural social soca dance inviting the public to wrap themselves in a melting pot of international flags. And finally singer-songwriter Jade DeLaFleur brought her exotic soul musical band together to give us a 100 percent of instrumental positive vibe.
